4 month update

C is already 4 months and I can't believe how the time has passed!  She has such a personality and I love every second with her.  We have had some more family visits but were glad last weekend was just us.  She is such a happy baby she makes everything super easy.  Last night we finally got back to a good sleeping schedule and I hope it sticks.  She is very aware now of everything going on around her and is able to grab at things and hold them.  She is chatting and smiling up a storm and is in love with Clover, pretty sure the feelings are mutual! I swear I'll post the pictures soon, I just keep forgetting from the home computer and not on my phone.  We can't wait to meet daddy!!

Corey is doing as well as he can be over there.  We are hoping just about 6ish weeks left but we'll see what this sequester does to his deployment.  I can't wait to see the look on Corey's face when he meets his baby love for the first time!! :)

C has her "4 month" check up next Monday so we'll update some stats then.  She'll be closer to 5 months but that's the earliest she can do her shots.

We are going to start some food this weekend since it's right in between the suggested 4-6 months and my mom/Wissy will be here to video tape it for Corey.  I'm going to start with Avacadoes in the baby bullet and instead of water mix it with breast milk (thank goodness for a slight over supply).  I'll be doing just one "meal" a day at dinner time to introduce the concept of eating.  We'll try bannans, sweet potatoes, and a few other vegetables between now and her actually turning 7 months and then each mont we'll add a few more things and eventually allow her to eat what we are eating!! :) As much as I want to stop her from growing older I'm excited to share food with her since she is already reaching for it!!

We started sign language this weekend.  For now we are just doing milk and bath time.  Soon we will add eat, more, and all done.  Eventually we will add mom and dad.

Hope everyone is doing well!! Thanks for catching up with us! :)

Update

I know I keep saying I really want to keep this updated, but I do becaue Cadence's family is all out of town.  I'm going to try to go back to the weekly updates like I did when I was pregnant but I can't make any promises.  Maybe just updates when she does something worth updating..we'll see.  When I get home I'm going to post a link to some pictures we have.  We have a site where I save them all and I think I can link albums with just her.

Right now Cadence is 3.5 months old and growing like crazy!! She can't wait to meet her daddy in a few short months! Right now C is holding her head up and rocking some tummy time.  She is trying when on her stomach and back to flip over.  No rush though or she'll pass the older kids in daycare! She is chatting up a storm and has the sweetest voice ever.  She is the sweetest baby ever and loves on me all the time.  I love picking her up at the end of the day and her smiling a big smile when she sees me.  I love when she cuddles her head on my shoulder too.  Lets me know she knows who I am and she missed me.  Thankfully she loves daycare and chats the day away with her little friends.  They wear her out because when we get home its short play time and she is out for the night.  She has been sleeping through the night and only sometimes wakes up for a middle of the night feeding.

The dogs love her and I catch Clover licking her head and feet all the time!! Time has flown by and we are excited we are getting closer to Corey's return!! My family has been keeping me busy and I have barely had a weekend to myself to dwell in it.  This weekend Amanda is coming for a visit and next weeken my Aunt is coming.  The weekend after that I will take to finish organizing the house and C's room so I can transition her to her own room.  Selfishly I have her sleeping in our room and I dread moving her out, but I would like her in her own room before Corey returns so come April I'm kicking her out.  I have been using a bedtime and making sure after I put her to bed I leave the room for a little so she can sleep alone in a room.  We will probably leave the doors open and put a gate up in the hallway so Clover can sleep with her.  Every little one in our house is spoiled, to include the pups!! The weekend after that my mom and sister come again and then March is about over!!   March is the last full month for Corey, his replacement will hopefully come in April!

Hopefully the weather gets nice here soon and we can spend some much needed time outside :) I've been doing really well considering and I think having C home with me is helping time fly.  She is the happiest little thing!!

We love and miss you all, please let us know how you all are doing too!!
